Patricia Byars

Patricia Ann Byars, 73, of Adair, Iowa, passed away October 13, 2006, at Guthrie County Hospital in Guthrie Center, Iowa.
Patricia Ann Evans was born on August 26, 1933, in Casey, Iowa, the daughter of Ralph and Bertha (Patterson) Evans.
She graduated from Casey High School in 1951.
On July 5, 1956 she married Lee Mark Byars in Des Moines, Iowa.
Patricia lived all of her life in Adair and Casey. While living in Casey she worked for the Fair Store and Pat's Café. Her parents owned the café and named it after her.
She was the president of the Oakwood Cemetery Association for over 30 years.
Patricia enjoyed knitting, crafts, talking on the phone and listening to the scanner, but above all she loved her grandkids.
She is survived by her son, Bill Byars and his wife, Joanne; daughter, Brenda Lehman and her husband, Paul; four grandchildren, Katie and Kristopher Lehman and William and Alyssa Byars, all of Adair, Iowa; 4 nieces; 3 aunts; and 2 granddogs, Heidi and Duke.
Patricia is preceded in death by her husband, Lee in 1993 and her parents.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 17, 2006, at the Hockenberry Funeral Home in Adair, Iowa.
Burial of ashes will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Casey, Iowa.
Visitation will be from 7 - 8 p.m., Monday, October 16, 2006 at the funeral home.
Hockenberry Funeral Home in Adair is in charge of the arrangements.
