Patricia E. Krause, 91, of Greenfield, Iowa, (formerly of Adair) passed away Sunday, November 4, 2007, at Greenfield Manor.

Patricia Ebba Lovell was born on March 2, 1916, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Harry and Ebba (Olson) Lovell.

She graduated from Adair High School in 1933. On September 3, 1934, she was united in marriage to Walter J. Krause in Chicago, Illinois. Pat lived in Chicago for 40 years and retired to Adair, Iowa in 1974.

Pat and her husband, Walter traveled the world. She was talented at all types of handwork and enjoyed crocheting and knitting. Pat also enjoyed playing cards. She was very family oriented and was always at family get-togethers. Most of all though, Pat loved her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids.

Pat is survived by son, Dick Krause and his wife, Gloria of Arlington Heights, Illinois; daughter, P. Andrea Salik and her husband, Robert of Indianola, Iowa; son-in-law, Richard Dolan of Casey, Iowa; 11 grandchildren, including granddaughter, Pam Pepper of Indianola, Iowa; and 20 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Ebba Lovell; husband, Walter; daughter, Pam Dolan; sister, Myrtle Costello; and brother, Harry Lovell.

Pat has donated her body to The University of Iowa College of Medicine and no services are planned.

Memorials may be made to the family to be used to benefit an organization in the Adair Community. Memorials may be mailed to Hockenberry Family Care, designated for the Pat Krause family, 1804 East 7th Street, Atlantic, Iowa 50022.

Hockenberry Funeral Home in Adair, Iowa, is in charge of the arrangements.
