Patricia Morrison

Patricia (Starlin) Morrison, age 68, of Cumberland, IA, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022.

Patty grew up on a farm in Cass County, she attended schools in Grant and Griswold, IA. Patty enjoyed growing up on the family farm taking care of the animals, especially the horses. Throughout her childhood, Patty loved to go on trial rides, attend the Massena Rodeo and family picnics, go for a swim at the Lewis or Bridgewater Lake, and being a member in 4-H and Blue Birds.

For many years Patty lived in Cumberland, Massena, and Walnut. She loved to attend many auctions. She had a talent for buying antiques, refurbishing them, and selling them back. Throughout the years she sold many pieces at her shop in Walnut, IA. After her shop was sold, she continued to work at the Blacksmith Shop in Walnut until 2021. Patty also loved to create floral arrangements, she worked in several community flower shops in her lifetime.

Those preceded in Patty’s death are her father George Starlin Jr., and her sister Cheri Starlin.

Patty is survived by her Mother Bonnie Starlin; children Stacy (Mike) Luke, Josh (Stacie) Morrison, Zac (Erin) Morrison, and Chelsia Morrison; siblings Debbie (John) Henry, Angie Ireland, and George (Crystal) Starlin; eleven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Open visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Atlantic, IA. Private graveside service will take place at Victoria Township Cemetery just south of Massena, IA.

Memorials will be directed to the Morrison Family to be designated to a later cause and may be mailed to the Schmidt Family Funeral Home P.O. Box 523, Atlantic, IA 50022.
