Paul Elmer Pedersen, son of Elmer and Marian (Overgaard) Pedersen was born February 12, 1950, in Exira, Iowa, and passed away October 20, 2017, in his home in Atlantic, Iowa, at the age of 67 years 8 months 8 days.
Paul was baptized and confirmed in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Atlantic, Iowa.
Paul worked various jobs in his lifetime. He worked for Pyramid Builders, building pole buildings; with his cousin, Chuck Pedersen, where they did roofing and construction; Peterson farms in Alaska; Camblin Plumbing and Heating in Atlantic; refinishing antique furniture in Atlantic; and helping at Skow farms with harvest. He also worked for himself doing carpentry.
Paul married Cheryl Christensen February 15, 1968, in Lake City, Iowa, and had two children, Bruce (Michelle) Pedersen of Lake City and Cindy Pedersen of Lake City.
Paul then married Jan Petersen and had two children, Lance and Steve (Teresa) Pedersen both of Atlantic.
Paul was survived by his mother, Marian Pedersen of Atlantic; sister, Sharron (Dwight) Albers of Postville, IA; Barbara McCrory of Redfield, Iowa; son, Bruce (Michelle) Pedersen of Lake City, IA; daughter, Cindy Pedersen of Lake City, IA; son, Lance Pedersen of Atlantic and son, Steve (Teresa) Pedersen of Atlantic; grandchildren: Benny Pedersen, Dylan Pedersen, Randa Pedersen, Kaelynn Marques, Josh Hylton, Gage Pedersen, Kael Pedersen, Keeley Pedersen and Kaydee Pedersen; great-grandchildren: Jace Pedersen, Stiles Pedersen, Pryce Pedersen, Gavin Pedersen, Enrique Marques, Giovanni Marques and Koiyah Marques; and many nieces, nephews and other family members.
He was preceded in death by: Grandparents, Martin & Marianne (Bagger) Overgaard; Peder C and Rosa (Paulsen) Pedersen; Dad, Elmer Pedersen; Great-grandson, Kyd Pedersen; and great-nephew, Zachariah Lensch.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Atlantic, Iowa.
