Randy Hagen

Randy D. Hagen, 64, of Atlantic, Iowa, and formerly of Anita, Iowa, passed away Friday, December 15, 2017, at his home in Atlantic.

Randy was born September 13, 1953, in Atlantic, Iowa, to Robert and Evelyn Joyce (Aupperle) Hagen. He attended and graduated from the Anita High School in 1972.

On May 3, 1981, Randy married Trudy Manke in Bellevue, Nebraska. Randy worked for Hagen Farm Service for many years. He then worked at Quality Homes in Adair for one year and then 20 years at Oathoudt Farm Supply in Atlantic. Randy was a lifelong resident of the Anita and Atlantic area.

Randy loved to watch NASCAR, going to Corning, Iowa, to watch stock car races, hunting and fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Hagen and a brother-in-law, Curt Manke.

Randy is survived by his wife, Trudy Hagen of Atlantic, IA; 2 sons, Michael Hagen of Anita, IA, and Adam Hagen and his fiancé Autumn Martin of Atlantic, IA; grandchildren, Tiana, Ashton and Graham Hagen of Anita, IA; his father, Robert Hagen of Anita, IA; brothers, Rod Hagen of Anita, IA, Jerry Hagen of Anita, IA, and Jeff (Angela) Hagen of Waukee, IA; a sister, Janet (Clint) Spry of Anita, IA; father and mother-in-law, Dick (Shirley) Ruge of Bellevue, NE; sister-in-law, Joni (Andy) Gunter of Bellevue, NE; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews

Visitation with family will be from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Hockenberry Family Care Funeral Home in Anita, Iowa.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Anita, Iowa, at a later date.

Memorials may be left to the family’s wishes to be designated at a later date.
