Richard Jerome Jorgensen

Richard Jerome Jorgensen, the son of Harvey and Lydia Ulven Jorgensen, was born August 26, 1942 in Carroll, Iowa and died August 20, 2008 at the Friendship Home in Audubon, Iowa at the age of 65 years, 11 months and 24 days.
Richard was baptized October 11, 1942 and confirmed at Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Audubon. He attended rural schools then graduated from the Audubon High School with the class of 1960. Richard was employed as a salesman for Rexall Drug Company for a short time.
On November 21, 1965 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Peterson at the First Christian Church in Coggin, Iowa. They had two sons Jonathan Robert and Joel Richard. Richard worked as a salesman for Wool Co. for a short time and then became a salesman for Super Value. He lived in Adel, Waukee/Des Moines, Iowa areas, and Davenport, Iowa. He has spent the past five years in Brainard, Minnesota. Richard has continued to work for Super Value for over thirty years.
Richard has always enjoyed fishing and golfing and socializing with friends. Richard enjoyed following all types of sports, but he especially enjoyed watching his grandsons T-ball games.
Preceding him in death in were his parents.
Survivors include his sons: Jonathan Robert Jorgensen of Mason City, Iowa and Joel Richard and wife Corinne Jorgensen of Glen Ellyn, IL; his grandchildren: Eric Christian, Kyle Richard and Sarah Ayn Jorgensen all of Glen Ellyn; his brothers and sister: his twin brother; Robert Jorgensen of Audubon, IA; James and wife Connie Jorgensen of Clarinda, IA and Gloria and husband Eldon Butch Hartley of Green, KS; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Service:
Memorial Services will be conducted by Pastor Christopher Martin on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. at Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Audubon, Iowa.
