Richard Myers Jr.

Richard Wayne Myers Jr., 54, of Manning, Iowa, was born the son of Richard Wayne and Margaret Rose (Carver) Myers Sr. on January 14, 1958, in Des Moines, Iowa, and passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2012, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

Ric moved to Anaheim, California when he was 6 years old. He attended Katella High School in Anaheim. Ric was a welder by trade and owned and operated Myers Welding in Anaheim, CA. He also worked for Hobbs Trucking in Anaheim, CA, Jack B Kelly in Adelanto, CA, and SmithCo in Le Mars, Iowa. Ric returned to Iowa in 1999, living the last 5 years in Manning, Iowa.

He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Wayne Myers Sr. and his grandparents, Grace Carver and Lloyd and LaVere Myers.

Ric is survived by his mother, Margaret (Dean) Manning of Willis, TX; his children, Anne Bailey of Bremen, IN, Peter Myers of La Paz IN, Franklin Myers, of MS, Amanda Jones of Plymouth, IN, Richard (Sarah Heinan) Myers III of Manilla, IA, Janice Adkins of Egg Harbor, N.J., Michael Myers of La Paz, IN.; 14 grandchildren; his brother, Robert (Sherry) Myers of Hawarden, IA; and his ex-wife Jan Myers of La Paz, IN.

Ric loved his family and he loved life. His passions were welding and building and riding motorcycles.

Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at a later date.

Hockenberry-England Funeral & Cremation Services in Audubon, Iowa, is assisting Ric's family with arrangements.
