Bob was honorably discharged from the Army and moved back to help his mom and dad with their registered Hereford cattle and registered quarter horses business. Bob lived most of his life in and around Guthrie Center, Iowa.
Bob was married and divorced three times. Bob was blessed with three children, Robert Michael, Lindsay Nichole (Nikki) and William Cody (Cody). Unfortunately, all three of his children passed away prior to his own passing.

Bob was diagnosed with lung cancer in March of 2023. Bob decided not to take any treatments and live the last of his life the way he always had – on his own terms. On May 18, 2023 Bob entered hospice at Sunny View Care Facility in Ankeny, Iowa. Bob left a definite impression being there. Unfortunately, on October 19, 2023 Bob passed away at the Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; and his children Robert Michael Larsen of New Jersey; Lindsay Nichole and William Cody both of Waukee, Iowa.
Bob is survived by his only two grandchildren, Tahlia and Ryker both of Stone Mountain, Georgia; several cousins, and other extended family and friends.
