Roger Ralph Fowble

Roger Ralph Fowble, the son of Ralph and Bertha (Baier) Fowble, was born July 7, 1948, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, Iowa and died February 14, 2018, at the Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 69 years, 6 months, and 16 days.

Roger attended school in Brayton, Iowa through the fifth grade then attended the Exira Community School and the Exira High School. Later he received his G.E.D. Roger worked for Turks Construction replacing roofs for several years.

On April 7 1967, he was united in marriage to Pamela Flathers in Council Bluffs, Iowa. They were blessed with two sons Jeff and Brett. Roger was employed as a Utility Man at Land of Lakes packing plant in Oakland, Iowa for over 18 years until it closed. They moved to Phoenix, Arizona and Roger worked in refrigeration for Kenny Steele for several years. In 1988 they returned to Iowa. They lived in Audubon, Iowa for a short time and Roger worked for Audubon Plumbing and Heating. They moved to Brayton, Iowa and Roger was employed by the City of Brayton where he worked until he retired in 2014 due to health issues.

Roger enjoyed camping, doing yard work, and gardening. Every year he looked forward to the annual family barbeque where he was able to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his brother-in-law Craig Flathers.

Survivors include his wife Pam Fowble of Brayton, Iowa; his sons Jeff Fowble and Brett and wife Christine Fowble all of Brayton, Iowa; his daughter-in-law Athena Ybanez of Phoenix, Arizona; his grandchildren Justin Fowble and Cortney Dirks both of Audubon, Iowa, Ashley Fowble and Dan Gimbel, Marcus Fowble, and Renee Ybanez and Joe Gimbel all of Phoenix, Arizona, Monica Edwards of Anita, Iowa, Cory Fowble and Jordan Gearheart both of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Emma Fowble of Phoenix, Arizona; his great grandchildren Logan Fowble and Connor Fowble both of Audubon, Iowa, Celeste Edwards and Ryan Edwards both of Anita, Iowa, Kailyn Gimbel, Autumn Gimbel, J.J. Gimbel, and Warren Gimbel all of Phoenix, Arizona; his brother Dean Fowble of Ankeny, Iowa; his sister Judy and husband Harvey Williamson of Anita, Iowa, his brother-in-law Wynn Flathers of Exira, Iowa; his sister-in-law Linda Flathers of Oakfield, Iowa; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will meet with friends Friday evening at 5:00 p.m. at the Kessler Funeral Home in Exira, Iowa. The Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be conducted by Pastor Steven Frock on Saturday afternoon, February 17, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at the Kessler Funeral Home in Exira, Iowa. Inurnment will be in the Oakfield Cemetery east of Brayton, Iowa. The honorary casket bearers will be Justin Fowble, Ashley Fowble, Marcus Fowble, Renee Ybanez, Monica Edwards, Cory Fowble, and Emma Fowble.
