Ronald “Ron” Allen Siedelmann passed away at home on January 17 th , 2026. He was 1 month past turning 70 years old.
Ron was born on December 16 th , 1955, at the Audubon County Memorial Hospital to Kenneth Siedelmann and Shirley Siedelmann (Stetzel).
Ron graduated in 1974 from Audubon High School where he worked for his dad’s construction company until he enlisted into the Army in 1977. Ron was proud to be a military man and so he went on to become a Green Beret and a Medical Specialist for 1 year and 11 months until he was honorably discharged in 1983.
In 1991, Ron and Pam Haskins welcomed their daughter, Elizabeth “Beth” Siedelmann, into the world. The reason he wanted to name his daughter “Beth” is after the KISS song since no one could believe that KISS could come up with a ballad like that. It was unique. Unfortunately, Ron and Beth lost Pam in 1995.
After some time passed, Ron found Debra Graham (Swietlik) whom he married, and she would later go on to adopt Elizabeth. Ron felt as though he needed to do something more with his life, so he went to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to continue his education, and he graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree.
After 8 years of marriage Ron and Debra got a divorce. A few years later he was married to Sandi Hocamp, but they would later divorce.
Ron had many hobbies, such as golf, bowling, fishing, and he loved building model rockets and cars. He loved building anything from wood especially for his daughter, Beth, who he built a couple different beds, an art box, and a doll house.
Ron had many stories to tell and many friends to tell them to. He will truly be missed.
Ron was proceeded in death by his father and mother, his brother James Siedelmann (who passed at infancy), grandparents: Maynard and Grace Stetzel (Rinehart); Paul and Minnie Siedelmann (Rochholz); plus, other beloved aunts and uncles.
Those left to cherish Ron’s memories are his daughter Elizabeth Bald (Siedelmann) and her husband Michael Bald, their children Claire Bald, Joseph Bald, and Jacob Bald; his sister Karen Merk (Siedelmann) and husband Roger Merk, their children Jon Merk and wife Katie Merk, Holly Merk-Wilcox and husband Bobby Wilcox; his brother Terry Siedelmann and wife Angie Siedelmann (Porsch), their children Nick Siedelmann and wife Laura Siedelmann, Brandy Miller (Siedelmann) and husband Chris Miller; plus other beloved great-nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family and can be sent in care of Schmidt Family Funeral Home to P.O. Box 201 Audubon, IA 50025.
The Schmidt Family Funeral Home of Audubon is caring for the Siedelmann Family at this time.
