Rosmarie Hansen

Rosmarie E. Hansen, 43, of Griswold, Iowa, and formerly of Atlantic, Iowa, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2007, at Montgomery County Memorial Hospital in Red Oak, Iowa.

Rosmarie Ellen Hansen was born June 12, 1963, to Glenn F. and Patricia A. (Jeppesen) Magill in Denver, Colorado. The family lived in Colorado for a while and moved back to Iowa where Rosmarie graduated from the Exira High School in 1981. That same summer, on August 15, 1981, she married Roger Lynn Hansen at the Exira Christian Church.

Rosmarie spent her adult life as a wife, mother, homemaker and teacher. She was a member of the First Church of Christ in Atlantic, Iowa.

She enjoyed decorating, scrapbooking, and picture taking. She liked her old farm house with the wrap around porch and swing on it. She liked traveling to see her daughters and their families. She loved to talk about her dogs, Jewelz, Snickers and Emmie. She rooted for her favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. And she most certainly loved her nieces and nephews.

Surviving Rosmarie are her husband, Roger Lynn Hansen of Griswold, IA; 2 daughters, Raychelle Emelia Thelen and her husband, Naval Second Class Petty Officer Jason Thelen and their daughter, Jursie Marie, of Imperial Beach, CA, and Rebekah Ann Ver Mulm and her husband, Matthew of Orange City, IA; 1 brother, Pastor Gary Magill and his wife, Cheryl, and their children, Kelsey, Kyle & Grant all of Carroll, IA; 1 sister, Ranaye Siggins and her husband, Aaron, and their children Tian, Alyssa & Brandt all of Atlantic, IA; her parents, Glenn and Patricia Magill of Atlantic, IA; her parents-in-law, LeRoy Hansen of Brayton, IA and his friend Pauline Steffans of Atlantic, IA and Dorothy Hansen of Atlantic, IA; brothers-in-law, Randy Hansen and his wife, Kathy of Brayton, IA, Bob Hansen and his wife, Lisa of Atlantic, IA, Rick Hansen and his wife, Janet of Audubon, IA, Rodney Hansen and his wife Nancy of Audubon, IA; an uncle, Lyle Jeppesen and his wife, Colleen of Anita, IA; an aunt, Donna Harmsen of Anita, IA; and several other nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding Rosmarie in death were her maternal grandparents, Jorgen and Anna Jeppesen and her paternal grandparents, Raymond and Frances Magill.

Funeral services will he held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 20, 2007, at the First Church of Christ in Atlantic, Iowa, with Pastor Dale Kesterson, Pastor Gary Magill and Pastor Al Hazelton officiating. Visitation with the family will be Monday, Feb. 19th from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m., also at the First Church of Christ in Atlantic. Burial will be in the Atlantic Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to share memories with the family during a luncheon in the church fellowship hall following the committal service.
