Ryan Miranda

Ryan Lee Miranda, 30, of Villisca, Iowa, and formerly of Liberal, Kansas, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at Montgomery County Memorial Hospital in Red Oak, Iowa.

Ryan was born April 25, 1985, in Liberal, Kansas, to Marcelino and Dora (French) Miranda. Ryan grew up in Liberal, Kansas, and graduated from Liberal High School and then from Seward County Community College in Liberal, Kansas, in 2003.

He married Kristi Weidner on July 12, 2008, at Zion Lutheran Church in Atlantic, Iowa. They had lived in Marshalltown, IA, Liberal, KS and Hugoton, KD. Recently they had moved to Villisca to settle down.

Ryan worked as a truck driver hauling milk, and he also worked on computers. Ryan enjoyed hunting and fishing, riding his motorcycle, and was a gifted metal fabricator and often made items for his family. He was an Oklahoma State and a Dallas Cowboys fan. Ryan was a loving and devoted father and husband.

Ryan was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Liberal, KS.

He was preceded in death by a daughter Grace, and his grandparents.
Ryan is survived by his wife, Kristi Miranda and their children, Isabelle and Henry of Villisca, IA; his father, Marcelino (Yolanda) Miranda of Liberal, KS; his mother, Dora Favela of Liberal, KS; siblings, Aaron (Trena) Anguiano of Woodward, KS, Tony (Kendra) Anguiano of Liberal, KS, Marc (Chelsey) Miranda of Great Bend, KS, Jazmin (Scott) Hazelwood of Oklahoma City, OK, Yadira Portillo of Ft. Worth, TX; a step-sister, Norma Miranda of Lawrence, KS; father/mother-in-law, Phillip and Wanda Weidner of Marne, IA; sisters-in-law, Karyn (Jamie) Joyce of Atlantic, IA, Julie (Kevin) St. John of Atlantic, IA, Sheri (Chad) Kinzie of Bondurant, IA; brother-in-law, Bryan (Misty) Weidner of Minden, IA; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 8, 2016, at Hockenberry Family Care in Atlantic, IA.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at Zion Lutheran Church in Atlantic, IA.

Burial will be in Brighton Township Cemetery in Marne, IA.

Memorials are preferred to the family's wishes.
