Spencer Glenn Rochholz, 30, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025.
Spencer was born on August 29, 1994, to Connie Emgarten and Glenn Rochholz. He grew up in Adair and attended Adair-Casey High School, where he actively participated in basketball, cross country, and track. He was a two-time state qualifier in cross country and a basketball All-American with a career-high achievement of 1,000 points. Spencer went on to attend Dordt University on a basketball scholarship before transferring to Iowa State University.
Throughout his life, Spencer worked for Specialty Concrete, TPI, Amazon, and Nichols Farms.
Spencer was a beautiful person, both inside and out, with a kind heart and an amazing soul. He had a special gift for making people laugh, brightening any room he entered, and forming friendships wherever he went. Spencer loved the outdoors, music, animals, and sports. Recently, he combined these passions to create video messages that he would send to those he loved. Each video was a surprise, always bringing joy and laughter.
Spencer is survived by his parents, Connie and Glenn; his son, Beckham; his sisters, Taylor and Peyton; his nieces, Ramsey and Elsie; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joyce and Bill; his uncle, Ron; and his cousins, Chase and Morgan.
Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025 at the Casey Community Building in Casey, Iowa. Private interment will be held at Sunny Hill Cemetery in Adair.
Services are arranged with the Schmidt Family Funeral Home of Adair.
