Stephen Darling

Stephen Allen Darling, 64, of Atlantic, Iowa, passed away Monday, June 5, 2017, at his home in Atlantic.

He was born on January 28, 1953, in Atlantic, Iowa, the son of Max and Margaret (Pigg) Darling. Steve attended school in Atlantic and graduated from Atlantic High school in 1971. He later obtained his associates degree in Electronics Technology from Iowa Western Community College. Steve lived most of his life in Atlantic and was employed with Atlantic Municipal Utilities for over 20 years before retiring from there.

Steve is survived by his wife Lana and daughter Sarah, both of Atlantic; his sister, Sherry Vale of Santa Rosa, CA; stepsister, DeAnn Gustafson of Tulsa, OK; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Margaret Darling; his brother, Bob Darling; and several aunts and uncles.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
