Tamira Kay (Darnold) Amos passed away December 20, 2012 at Cass County Memorial Hospital at the age of 54. Tami was born on October 18, 1958 in Corning, Iowa to Duane B. and Carolyn J. (McKinley) Darnold. She grew up in Atlantic and attended Atlantic High School and was part of the Class of 1977. Tami was married to Timothy Amos on April 27, 1985 at the First Assembly of God Church in Atlantic. The couple made their home North of Griswold where they lived and farmed. Tami worked for her parents at Darnolds Restaurant in Atlantic, in the office at Minsa in Red Oak, Oakland Savings Bank in Oakland and most recently at Safeguard-Choice Printing in Atlantic, along with being Tim's occasional farm hand.
Tami and Tim loved to travel. They had been to Arizona, Maryland and the West Coast. They had camped many weekends with their family at Lewis Lake. She also always looked forward to taking a yearly "girls" trip with 3 of her close friends from High School.
The biggest joys of her life were her precious grandchildren. She was always doing something with them and they had spent many "overnights" at Grandmas and Papas house, which she enjoyed immensely. Tami was a devoted wife, loving mother & grandmother, dedicated daughter, faithful sister and friend. Tami's family and friends will feel truly lost without her.
Tami was a very giving, loving, and thoughtful person. She doted over per parents and was truly a blessing to them. She touched the lives of everyone whom she had met.
