Tim McCoy, age 68, of Atlantic, IA, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Griswold Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Griswold, IA.
Timothy Rae McCoy was born on November 6, 1955, in Atlantic, IA, the son of Wilber Allen and Vivian Iona (Sorensen) McCoy.
Tim was a patriotic man; he also enjoyed country western music, firetrucks, and watching the Dallas Cowboys.
He was loved dearly and will be missed; he had an infectious smile.
He is survived by his brother, Dwight McCoy; sisters, Karen Rose and Debbie Meyer; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death are his parents, sister Beverly South, and brother Terry McCoy.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the Wiota Cemetery with Rev. Garry DeGeest officiating. A luncheon will follow at the reception room of the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Atlantic.
Memorials may be directed to the Tim McCoy Family at this time, they will be designated to some of his favorite local organizations. They may be mailed to the Schmidt Family Funeral Home P.O. Box 523, Atlantic, IA 50022.
Arrangements are handled with the Schmidt Family Funeral Home.
