Troy Grimes

Troy Allan Grimes, 42, of Anita, Iowa, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.

Troy was born December 24, 1974, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Dewayne Boblett and Phyllis (Grimes) Westfall. He graduated from the Anita High School in 1993.

He had worked for Henningsen Construction erecting steel buildings. Troy was a member of the Masons.

Troy was a huge fan of Scooby-Doo and Star Trek and collected eagles. He also enjoyed remote control cars, music, spending time with his dog, King, and spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dewayne Boblett; his paternal grandparents, Barney and Loraine Anshutz; maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Evelyn Grimes; and an uncle, Lloyd Grimes.

Troy is survived by a son, Jordon Constock of Farragut, IA; 2 grandchildren; his mother, Phyllis Westfall and her friend, Steve McClure of Anita, IA; step-dad, Craig Westfall of Anita, IA; brothers, Brett Westfall of Anita, IA, Justin Boblett and Jerome Boblett both of Coon Rapids, IA; sisters, Melissa Raven and friend Mike, of Topeka, KS, Andrea Boblett of AR, and Jaime Kempf of Perry, IA; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation with family will be Wednesday, November 22, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m., at Hockenberry Family Care in Anita, Iowa.

Memorials may be left to the family’s wishes to be designated at a later date.

Hockenberry Family Care Funeral Home in Anita, Iowa, is in charge of the arrangements.
