Vicki Parker

Vicki Jo Parker, 57, of Avoca, Iowa, passed away January 27, 2012, at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa, after a brief illness.

Vicki was born June 4, 1954, to Wayne and Mary Jo (Grinstead) Pedersen in Atlantic, Iowa. She grew up on her grandparent's farm and attended school in Exira, Iowa. Vicki was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

Preceding Vicki in death were her grandparents, Nels and Edna Pedersen; her mother, Mary Jo Pedersen; her husband, Glen Parker; and a brother, Steven Pedersen.

Surviving Vicki is her father, Wayne Pedersen of Atlantic; her sister, Lori Pedersen , of Boston, MA; her aunt, Wanda Nelson of Exira; her uncle, Lyle Pedersen of Harlan; her long-time companion, Terry Kuhr of Avoca; and many cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at 2:30 p.m. at Hockenberry Family Care in Atlantic, Iowa.

Lunch and a time of visiting will be held following the service in the Hockenberry Family Care community room.
